Work from home, do not have much time to cook but veggie can be chopped while working as well.
We have seen in memes but we do same in real life as well.
Cooking for two
• 1 bowl vermicelli
• 1 carrot
• 1 medium size onion
• 1 medium size potato
• 1/4 bowl of peas
• 2 green chili
• You can add capsicum as well ( I did not add as it was not at home today) • Salt as per taste
• 1/2 table spoon of turmeric powder ( optional - I did not use because mustard oil give yellow color and tastes good as well) •1/2 table spoon of red chili powder
• 1 table spoon of coriander powder
• 1 table spoon of kasturi methi ( crush it) • 1/2 table spoon of mustard seeds
• 1/2 table spoon of cumin seed ( optional - I also did not use) • Mustard oil
• Roast vermicelli without using oil or ghee. • Roast till it become golden brown in color as shown in picture. • Chop all the veggies shared above while working on your laptop as it saves your time. 👨🍳🍲
• Heat pan Or kadai and add mustard oil in it. • Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds ( optional) • Add chopped onions and saute till it become pink
• Add peas and then it soften little bit
• Add all other veggie that is potato, capsicum, carrot
• Now it's time to add all the above shared spices ~ Salt ~ Chili powder ~ Turmeric powder ( optional as I also did not use ~ Coriander powder ~ Crushed kasturi methi
• Add little bit of water to it and cover it with lid for 5 mins so that all the veggies become soft
• Now add 2 bowl of water ( double the vermicelli) • Let it boil and then add roasted vermicelli
• Cover it with lid and let boil for another 3-4 mins
• Now it's time to put flame on low and switch off the flame only when entire water is absorbed by vermicelli.
Let it set for 5 mins, I mean do not remove lid for 5 mins after switching off the 🔥
Your breakfast is ready to serve.
