#intothewild #digitalnomads #remote #remoteworking #digitalnomadlifestyle #digitalnomadlife #laos #dondet #wanderlust #wild #adventure #solotravel

~after a big meal~ On a morning drive we noticed vultures in the trees and immediately went off road to see who they were waiting for. A pride of lions were feasting on a buffalo bull... The next morning, we went back and left after spending some time there. A call came through that they were on their way to the river to drink and we rushed back to enjoy these well fed lions quenching their thirst #okovangodelta #chitabe #wildernesssafaris #lion #lions #lionsofinstagram #lionking #lioncub #throughmylens #safarimemories #women_wildlife_photography #bns_nature #menseselense #africanamazing #africanportraits #bigcatsofafrica #solotravel #botswanasafari #botswanawildlife #wildlifeperfection @getawaymagazine @raw_africa_ @africanimals @unlimitedafrica @naturephotoportal @wishingforafrica #ishootwithorms #odpshutters #reisfotografie #lonelyplanettraveller #savelions #nikonwildlife #nikonwildlifephotography

RETROSPECTIVE.34 - SIMON POPE - TRAVEL: On 30th January 2000 Lynn and I attempted to begin making our way towards the border of Vietnam and Laos. If the truth be known, we’d had easier journeys. We just could not find a single person to tell us when and where the bus would leave from to take us the 80km to the border. No smart phones and no internet remember. Instead we spent almost 3hrs attempting to get our point across to the Honda Om riders (motorbike Taxi) why 80km on those roads, riding pillion, with 25 kilos of rucksack on our backs would probably end in tears. We eventually found a cab with 4 wheels and splashed out! Reaching the border, immediately things changed. It was high up, very cold indeed with low cloud. It was eerily quiet and we could only see 3 meters in front of us. We walked through the gates out of Vietnam and then about a kilometre of no man's land. The cloud/fog lifted slightly and we found ourselves walking through a graveyard of brand new seized BMW’s, VW’s and Audi’s. Well, they were clearly new once and it was just a very odd thing to see. No shots as photography at border crossings is almost always prohibited. I often had to remind myself that I wasn’t a photojournalist on an assignment, I was in fact ‘on holiday’. Loved Vietnam but was so looking forward to exploring landlocked Laos. I have to share the menu from the last place we ate in in Vietnam. Apologies if you’re just about to have breakfast: Chicken Ice Cream Soup, Fried Squid with meat inside, Grilled eel with lard, Testicle chicken with Honey and ginger, Steamed tortoise with banana, Boiled Winkle, Sautéed frog with banana, Grilled lard with beef inside, Burnt rice with 4 things (???????) and finally, from the forest… Porcupine, Armadillo and snakes (Please place your order in advance). Laos, with its French colonial architecture, hill tribe settlements and buddhist monasteries, was such a beautiful country was relatively tourist free when we were there. It really had a gorgeous vibe about it and was probably one of the most chilled countries I’d visited in all my travels. An eclectic selection of images here with local people going about their peaceful lives. #Travel

Day 09 Photo: Lotus Temple, Delhi, India Lotus Temple is a Baháʼí House of Worship, located in Delhi in India. This beautiful structure was designed by the Iranian- Canadian architect Fairburz Sahba in 1986. It was named Lotus Temple because of its lotus-shaped design. There are 27 beautiful marble petals in the complete structure. The belief behind creating this masterpiece was to bring people of all religions together under one roof. This one of the beautiful sights in Delhi and it’s worth visiting. https://www.oasistravelindia.com/delhi-tour.php In the comment section, share photos of your favourite monument or place in your country. #lotustemple #lotustempletour #delhi #delhitour #delhidaytour #delhitravel #indiatourpackages #travelpackages #india #incredibleindia #indiatour #indiatrip #oasistravelindia #indiatravel #worldtravel #travel #vacation #travelgram #travelholic #seetheworld #traveladdict #luxurytravel #luxuryholidays #citysightseeing #solotravel #travellingsolo #traveling #tourism #letsgoeverywhere #wanderlust
